...isn't just my trademark name, it's how I describe being able to do what I love for a living.
Years ago, while I should have been paying closer attention in school, I was drawing cars, and being told that I'd never make a living drawing them... Years later, I'm doing it (OK, and regretting some lost learning time on Algebra, but still...)
I run my own small studio, and work probably three times as much as I could for someone else, but love every minute of it.
What began as simple sketches in notebooks, scrap paper, etc, all trying to emulate the great work I'd see in CARtoons Magazine (and Mort Drucker's amazing character work in MAD Magazine), eventually led to a career.
I majored in Fine Art (painting and drawing) in College, and found some great inspiration in modern woks, and have continued to create abstract-expresionist paintings, but manage to pay the bills drawing and re-designing my first love, cars.
Not so much of a deviation from my youthful dream of being an automotive designer, I get to play with hot rods and customs, designing project cars for people from all over the world, including builders I idolized as a kid drawing in Math class...
